4 Ingredients / 20 Minutes: Kief-Laced Vegan & Gluten Free Peanut Butter Marshmallow Mounds

I melted half a bag of vegan chocolate chips …

Added 1/2 teaspoon of kief coconut oil (made previously) …

Then added the melted chocolate to 1 cup of natural peanut butter …

Then added the bag of vegan and gluten-free marshmallows and VOILA …

Some of the best edibles I’ve ever accidentally eaten … 😳

Happy munching everyone!

The Stoner Girl’s Guide to LGBTQ Cinema: “Life Partners” (2014)

Life Partners follows an almost-thirty lesbian (Leighton Meester, from Gossip Girl) and her best friend (Gillian Jacobs, from HBO’s Girls). Their bond is challenged by someone new in their lives and the question is whether or not their friendship will survive.

I didn’t hate Life Partners nearly as much as I thought I would … in fact, I dare say I almost enjoyed … 😉

This film is a light and relatable almost-thirty tale — sprinkled with gayness.

The Stoner Girl’s Guide to LGBTQ Cinema: “Appropriate Behavior” (2015)

“For Shirin, being part of a perfect Persian family isn’t easy. Acceptance eludes her from all sides: her family doesn’t know she’s bisexual, and her ex-girlfriend, Maxine, can’t understand why she doesn’t tell them.”

Appropriate Behavior (2015) is a witty and romantic comedy, written and directed by the star, Desiree Akhavan

Shout out to Desiree Akhavan for being totally dope!

UK Cheese Strain Review — Tweed’s Balmoral

Last week I purchased and inhaled 5 grams of Balmoral (UK Cheese) from my licensed producer, Tweed. My primary diagnosis is the lovely Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) known as Crohn’s Disease. For the purpose of this writing, the pain I am treating is mostly located in my: abdomen, back, joints and ribcage.

This was my first order with Tweed and I am happy with their service. I believe I placed my order around 3 a.m. (I also live with a sleep disorder) and they shipped it out that morning.

Balmoral is a hybrid with 17.50% THC; Tweed charges $9 a gram for this strain. You can request more information about Balmoral and view the “Terpography” here. I’m not sure if Balmoral smells like cheese … I think it smells more like an old cottage cupboard. I think it does taste a little like an old cupboard too. (Not an insult, actually kind of a compliment.)

I used my Volcano at the highest heat for sessions with Balmoral all week. The vapor is thick and can make me lemon-pucker a little bit but no urge to cough, just a bit of harshness. (If you live with a throat or lung condition definitely start at the lowest heat on your vaporizer and slowly work your way up.)

Balmoral makes me rather spacey–which lends well to being distracted from pain and stress. The cerebral effects are strong enough that I wouldn’t medicate with it right before FaceTiming Grandma. I would recommend trying this strain on a day you have nothing to get done. I found the effects of Balmoral  to be good for relaxing and making art, not great for writing or getting technical work done. But that’s just me.

Balmoral isn’t the right strain for me as it doesn’t help me sleep and during the daylight hours I need pain management that comes with appetite stimulation. Overall I enjoyed this strain. I think Balmoral (UK Cheese) could be perfect for someone looking for after-work pain management that won’t make them eat too much at dinner.

Sending good health vibes to everyone reading this!

Toke it easy,

p.s. This week a woman on the subway told me all about her cat and his cute stripes — during the convo she happened to mention she lives on Balmoral Street in Toronto. Funny coincidence eh? 😉
